spirits as I know them part one. ps. more later

Has any one seen "Ghost Hunters"? If you haven't. Go and watch it on the scifi channel. Check your local listings. Right now it is in reruns.

How I wish I could juggle my time so that I could work with such individuals. However, such is. After a life time spent talking with spirits. It's is good to see that there is a concerted effort to bring this subject to light in a rational way.

Will this program succeed in this endeavor? Probably not. When you deal with the spiritual. Your essentially dealing with a subject that is, for many, one of religious concern. Though to most people who hear "ghost" they think of a variety of movies. For others it is one of primal fear. Lets face it no one really wants to be reminded of thier mortality.

For people like myself we are confrotented by this fact each and every day. It is an abilty that is at once a curse and gift. I choose to treat it as more of a gift. Even as I type this Blog I can feel at least a dozen spirits and a couple of elementals. Is this recordable? For me it doesn't matter if a piece equipment can pick up what I know is there.

In the tradition that I belong to we recognize three different types of hauntings.

The first type is energy that the object are alway releasing and absorbing. Ie: Some one is seen walking down a hall. This type is more along the lines of watching a scene in a movie replay constantly. A simple everyday cleansing can take care of this. Look in to your Cunninghams for house cleansings.

The second type is spirits of the departed. Most are just lost and trying to come to terms with thier new reality. Think of an accident victim. Most are simply wanting to reassured that they can go through the light and that being dead is not an end, but a new begining.

Some of these spirits can act like the first type. But these spirits of the dead can distinguished by thier energy pattern which has a stable energy pattern.

The third type are pure spirit. This type of spirit has again a different type of energy and cannot be confused with the other two types. These entities are as varied as their agendas. The more beneficial spirits generally work in a more subtle way and will only interact with humans as the need arises.

The more malicious entities are the one that get the publicity more often. Possessions, ect. These entities are more prone to try and hold other spirits to thier will. Namely the second type of spirits for thier own needs or wants. Why should these malicious entities want to do this? Personally, the jury is still out. A variety of theories have been advanced. One such theory postaulates that the said entity gains a form of food.

Yes, many do seemingly feed on fear. Would this be another way to keep up, or even enhance, thier own energies? I personally don't know. What I do know is that for, a lot these entities, that life is a curiosity.

When I have sent these types of entities to the underworld I am left cold and exhausted. At times even in pain from the cold.

There is a fourth type. These elementals are not truly haunting as in the case of the others. In general these entities are can be malicious or beneficial as the mood my strike them. Also how one interacts them can mean a positive or bad experience.

In my own experience I have sent a spirit of a serial killer to the underworld. He lived towards the end of the ninteenth century had killed more than one wife and was never caught. His goal was to become as evil as he could be in the hopes that he would become a demon.

Well I guess we all have have to have hobbies. Did he become a demon? As of this writing he is in the underworld. Not as a demon. Will he become a demon or a malicious spirit? How should I know? There are plenty of stories of a person trying gain godhood or become a demon of one sort or another. Most seem to end badly.

So while TAPS and the program "Ghost Hunters" are trying to break ground in a way that will make sense to the sceptical and disbelieving scientific community. Those of us who deal with this on a constant and continuing basis wish them luck. For it is a journey that can change one in ways that can never be predicted.

Blessed Be
